Villa Privada, exists to serve as an escape from the noise, hustle and bustle of fast paced urban living.

This property is an Old Portuguese villa nestled lazily in the village of Uccassim in Bardez, Goa, restored to reflect the urban luxury and comfort so unobtrusively that the old charm is there for the taking.

There are 4 self contained bed rooms, each with a private courtyard for some quiet time. The kitchen is fully operational with a cook and groceries to make you feel at home should you desire not to venture out at all. Our Cook can make you breakfast or even lunch & dinner if you like.

Stay a while, stretch out on an armchair and watch farmers plough their fields, read a book or take a swim in the pool. Explore the area; find a nearby pond to fish in, soak in nature's bounty and local Goan hospitality.

While we know you're in the mood for a quiet and peaceful stay, should you desire to seek out some action at the bars and restaurants or do want to swing to some music and dance the night away making merry with friends, then Baga, Calangute, Anjuna are all less than half an hour's drive away! Goa has a relatively low crime rate and petty theft can be avoided by taking normal security precautions. You are responsible for your personal belongings and recommend that you do exercise normal discretion to take care of them.

The possession and/ or taking of drugs are a serious offence followed by many years in an Indian jail even before a trial. We do not allow drugs to be brought into 'Villa Privada' for whatever reason. If we suspect that this has occurred, we reserve the right to ask you to vacate the premises - without notice

Thankfully, Villa Privada has been largely isolated from noise pollution, apart from the occasional village wedding or satsangs. Noise pollution is now being looked at more seriously in Goa and therefore there are curbs on loud music in public/private places beyond 10.30 pm. We are in a quiet neighborhood with families who have to cope with their life's routine so we like our guests to respect that endeavor to keep the revelry up to reasonable levels without disturbing the peace and quiet around.
